Lots of Progress!

My visit to the construction last week was amazing!  They have made so much progress over the past couple of weeks due to overtime shifts and good weather.  You can see curbing in preparation for the road. The building is now what's called "dried in," meaning that when it rains, the inside doesn't get wet.  As you look through the pictures you'll notice that there are no little lakes of water on the floor.  This is a big deal in the construction world because it really helps the building to progress more quickly.   Obviously, the electrical, sheetrock, painting, and tile crews can't work on things until the building is waterproof.

Weekly Update

This week I interviewed all of the teachers from Meadow Elementary that will be coming to teach at Dry Creek.  I was very impressed and am looking forward to working with all of these faculty members.  The construction process is moving along.  Every crew is working overtime right now so that they can complete construction as soon as possible.

Walls completed!  They are working on finishing the roof so that the building will be waterproof.

Kindergarten Classroom.  The ceiling is not waterproof yet in this part of the building as you can see from all of the water on the floor.
