Meet Our Staff --- 4th Grade!

Introducing . . .
Robin Reynolds

Fourth Grade Teacher

Hi there!  I’m Mrs. Reynolds and I get to teach totally awesome fourth graders!  My favorite thing about teaching is hanging out with kids every day and having fun while we learn.  I love to read and explore new things.  My favorite part of school is READ ALOUD.  It’s so cool to capture my students’ attention with a good book and watch them get excited about reading.

I have a wonderful husband and three beautiful children.  We’ve enjoyed our summer so far using our “Pass of All Passes” and taking lots of day trips.  We have lived in American Fork for the last three and a half years and we absolutely love it.

If I could choose a super power it would be teleportation.  That way I could take my family wherever in the world we wanted to visit that day, because I love taking day trips, and I could take my students with me to the places we will be learning about this year.  I’m all about hands on experience as much as possible!  Because learning should be fun fun fun!

I graduated from UVU (secretly where all SUPER teachers come from) and have been teaching for two years.  I am thrilled to jump into my third year at a brand new school!

Picture Update

I hope everyone had a great 24th of July holiday.  Here's the picture update for the week.  There's more and more electrical going in as you walk down the hall from the more finished part of the building to the less finished part.  More carpet is continuing to go in and they are starting to prep one section of the hall floors for tile.   They are also working on prepping the road to be paved.   Some of you may have noticed that they have closed off part of 1100 West and they are working on piping the irrigation in preparation for a sidewalk.

Meet Our Staff --- 6th Grade!

Introducing . . .
Bobbi Edwards

Sixth Grade Teacher

My name is Bobbi Edwards.  I will be teaching 6th grade at Dry Creek this year and I am thrilled! Go Owls!  This will be my tenth year of teaching, my 9th in 6th grade.  I started out teaching in Jordan District for two years, moved to Alpine District to teach one year of third grade at Deerfield, then six years at Meadow.  I never thought I would be a teacher growing up, but once it found me, I was home.  It is the best job in the world!

I grew up in Utah, Montana, and Washington, exploring various schools and was largely raised by amazing grandparents.  I graduated from Ricks College and the University of Utah (GO UTES!!!).  I am married to an incredible guy (Mark) and have two adorable and entertaining boys.  Graham will be 5 in October and Kyden will turn 1 in September.  I love learning, my husband teases me for how much I talk about school, especially Math.  I am happy when I can enjoy my 3 boys, read a good book, travel, take pictures, enjoy music & movies, try new things, or play games with friends. I am so excited to begin this new adventure together!

Picture Update

I've been out to the construction site multiple times over the last week and a half since I last posted pictures, so I have lots of pictures to share.  The school is looking great and moving forward.

I have also gotten some questions about a few things and so I wanted to pass along a couple of updates and give a couple of reminders.

  • The Dry Creek PTA Carnival will be held Saturday, August 2nd from 5-7 p.m. at the Lehi Sports Complex.    Please come and support the PTA.  They provide many valuable programs and activities to our school.  This evening will be a great opportunity to get to know our new Dry Creek community!

  • Class lists and track requests are still a work in progress at this point and probably will not be posted until right before school starts.  Our enrollment numbers are changing on a weekly basis right now and as a result, I can't finalize those lists.  I know that students and parents are excited to find out who their teacher will be, but please be patient as we continue to work on this.

  • Several people have asked about Back to School night.  Unfortunately, because the building is still under construction and we are working with a tight deadline, it is difficult for us to know when we can hold back to school night.  As soon as a decision is made regarding this, we will post that information here and on the website and the facebook page.

  • On the school website and facebook page, you can find a link to a suggested school supplies/donation list.  Please remember that supplies and donations are not required, but definitely appreciated!  If you're shopping the back to school sales, you may want to check out the supplies and donation list.

  • You can also find up to date information about everything Dry Creek at drycreek.alpineschools.org or through the Dry Creek Elementary Facebook page.
